We’re delighted to welcome two new faces to our R&D team: Beatriz and Marc have recently joined us and are already making valuable contributions to our ongoing projects.

Today, on World Environment Day, we reflect on the responsibility we all share — as individuals, as communities, and as industries — to protect our planet. This year’s theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” reminds us that sustainable change begins with everyday decisions, and that even complex systems must evolve toward more circular, resource-conscious models.

Last week, Uwe represented boTec at the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit 2025 in London — an event that continues to set the pace for innovation in data strategy, governance, and AI adoption across industries.

We’re proud to share that our team member Mark has earned the “IT Security Officer (TÜV)” qualification! Awarded by TÜV Rheinland Akademie, this qualification strengthens our efforts toward ISO 27001 certification — and reflects the kind of expertise and commitment we value in our team.

From March 25–27, we joined our partner gat GmbH at LOUNGES Cleanroom Processes 2025 in Karlsruhe — one of the most important gatherings in the cleanroom, contamination control, and pharma tech industries. This was our third consecutive year participating, and once again, the event proved to be an inspiring platform for innovation, collaboration, and forward-looking conversation.

We are excited to announce our participation in Lounges Cleanroom Processes 2025, taking place in Karlsruhe from March 25–27! This premier event brings together industry leaders, experts, and innovators in the cleanroom and contamination control sectors.

Last week, Uwe participated in the Sustainable Future. digital event in Wiesbaden – an inspiring gathering of experts at the crossroads of sustainability, digitalisation, and AI.

This year, we at boTec supported the special campaign: “Weihnachten im Schuhkarton”. We came together as a team to bring a little joy to children in difficult life situations.

boTec’s 2024 team event brought colleagues together at a scenic vineyard for a day filled with team-building activities, heartfelt recognition of long-serving employees, and a barbecue evening, fostering collaboration and camaraderie.

Recently, our CEO Martin had the opportunity to visit Haus Anna in Lower Bavaria – a children’s hospice that offers valuable support to families with critically ill children. The reason for the visit was our donation to this impressive facility, which has been providing affected families with a place of relief and security since September 2023.

boTec team experienced a wonderful evening filled with festive spirit at the Sternschnuppenmarkt in Wiesbaden.

Our team event on Thursday, 21st September 2023, began with a productive meeting in the morning. Following this, we caught taxis and went on a trip that smoothly mixed history, culture, workout, and delicious cuisine.

Employees enthusiastically gathered for a day of fun at a Rheingau winery. With a vineyard tour, snacks, wine and barbecue, they enjoyed the opportunity to socialise and bond outside of work. A brunch on Friday rounded off the event, leaving employees refreshed and grateful for the bonding experience.

The “Environmental Calculator / Sensor Guard” project at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences had the task of developing a platform concept for collecting and evaluating environmental data such as particulate matter, temperature, and water levels, with options for real-time reporting and alerts. Supported by boTec, the student team designed a system architecture using technologies like React, Spring Boot, Python, and Docker to enable flexible, formula-based evaluations without deep technical expertise. Through this collaboration, boTec strengthens regional educational partnerships while promoting sustainable digitalization and efficiency initiatives for municipalities and SMEs.

The elective project “Geodata in Service Management” at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, supported by boTec, tasked students with designing a digital solution for route-optimized maintenance in large industrial plants. The prototype they developed features mobile task lists with status tracking, integrated on-site navigation, and offline synchronization to ensure usability without constant internet access. This collaboration combines education and regional responsibility, offering students practical experience while laying the groundwork for innovative industrial applications.

boTec GmbH supported a bachelor’s thesis at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences by Maurice Falk, focused on developing a flow-based low-/no-code backend that integrates UI and business logic components. Implemented with JavaScript/TypeScript and RxJS, the system enables modeling and execution of workflows through nodes, ports, links, and pipelines. The collaboration highlights how practice-oriented research, talent development, and innovative solutions for the process and production industry come together at boTec.

Maurice Falk successfully completed his six-month internship semester at boTec GmbH in the Research & Development department, focusing on the web-based dashboard ecosystem. His work included further developing the component architecture, state management with Vuex, as well as creating a TreeControl component and a JSON form builder. The boTec team congratulates him on this achievement and looks forward to collaborating with him on his upcoming Bachelor thesis.
