About the ERTC
Organised by the prestigious World Refining Association, the ERTC is Europe’s largest annual downstream event, bringing together refiners and technology providers from all over Europe, and this year’s venue was Berlin. Our submission at the beginning of 2022 was thankfully accepted, giving us the opportunity to attend the event, which took us to Berlin from 7 to 10 November.

Our Experience
After setting up our stand on Monday, we had a chance to network with other exhibitors.
Tuesday was the official start of the conference, where people from all over the world came to attend presentations and visit stands to gather information, ideas and inspiration. Throughout the day we had the opportunity not only to attend presentations on the future of refining but also to share our views and ideas on the industry’s sustainable development with many like-minded people who visited our stand. We interacted with many of our customers and also made valuable new connections with people in the industry.
These connections were deepened at the traditional Gala Dinner, which we also attended. The event was full of conversation, spectacular highlights including a light show and very good food. It was a chance to get to know people more personally, and the stylish atmosphere was perfect for networking.
On Wednesday, our CEO Martin Schoener gave a presentation on the possibilities of our integration platform in the context of sustainable refining. We were delighted to have the opportunity to listen to others’ thoughts on the subject and share our own.
All in all, ERTC 2022 was a very valuable event for us as a company. We were able to make many new contacts, gather inspiration and share our expertise with people in the same industry. The event was flawlessly organised and we are looking forward to ERTC 2023!
