Software Developer Backend (m/f/d)

immediately / flexible / permanent

As a Software Developer Backend (m/f/d) you’ll design and implement valuable and sustainable software in a team of dedicated developers and architects. You will expand our software portfolio and application framework around our integration platform. You develop mainly Typescript-based backend components to meet enterprise requirements for distributed business logic, intelligent interfaces to third-party systems and data flows in dashboards. The frontend, QA and documentation groups are looking forward to your microservices and REST APIs to make our integration platform available on desktop, web, mobile and cloud environments.

Your tasks

• Continuously developing and maintaining our integration platform and its backend components to meet enterprise demands, including distributed business logic, intelligent interfaces to third-party systems, data flows in dashboards, and more
• Implementing REST APIs, microservices, ensuring secure usage, and incorporating performance, health, and system monitoring
• Build and deployment: classic, Docker, and native cloud environments
• Ensuring backend quality through test automation, optimising testing and development tools, and documenting backend components
• Close collaboration with frontend, QA, and documentation teams
• Technical conceptualisation of new features

Our requirements

• Successfully completed education or degree in the field of computer science or an equivalent qualification
• Experience in developing modern backends
• Extensive expertise in the tech stack: Express.js, Node.js, Antlr, RxJS, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Git, DevContainer, VSCode, OAuth, JWT, OPA, LDAP, Docker, Kubernetes, dapr, Azure, AWS, GKE, databases (relational, graph, cloud-native), ETL, PL/SQL, SQL
• Self-reliance and a hands-on mentality
• Ability to work collaboratively with an agile approach
• Analytical thinking, structured approach, and quality consciousness
• Good German and English language skills are desirable
• Proficiency in AI/ML, Geospatial, and French language is advantageous
