Support for Families of Children with Severe Illnesses
Recently, our CEO Martin had the opportunity to visit Haus Anna in Lower Bavaria – a children’s hospice that offers valuable support to families with critically ill children. The reason for the visit was our donation to this impressive facility, which has been providing affected families with a place of relief and security since September 2023. It was a special opportunity to experience the work of the home at first hand and to see how our support is helping.
Haus Anna, the first semi-stationary children’s hospice in Lower Bavaria and part of the Munich Outpatient Children’s Hospice Foundation (AKM), offering caring support to children with life-threatening illnesses.
The day at the hospice was characterised by inspiring encounters with the dedicated team, who not only provide the families with medical and nursing care, but also give them moments of joy and lightness. Places such as the cozy “Lichtung”, a common room, or the specially equipped art and music rooms show how much value is placed on holistic support. In conversation with the staff, it became clear how varied the services are and how important they are for the families concerned.
We at boTec are proud to support a project that has such a positive impact. For Martin, the visit was a reminder of how crucial such places are for families in difficult times.
