Maurice Falk successfully completed his six-month practical semester at boTec GmbH in the Research & Development department (01.07.–31.12.2020). During his internship, he focused primarily on our web-based dashboard ecosystem: from the further development of the component architecture, through state management with Vuex, to the development of a high-performance TreeControl component and a JSON form builder. In addition, with SceneManager and LinkManager, he laid the groundwork for modular data orchestration between UI and logic components.
In parallel, boTec and Hochschule RheinMain coordinated the next steps: immediately afterwards, Maurice began his Bachelor thesis on the topic “Development of a flow-based Low-/No-Code backend for the simultaneous integration of UI and business logic components.”
Background & Formalities (HSRM)
For the recognition of the practical training in the degree program Applied Computer Science, proof of 800 hours, a company certificate, and a practical report (at least 17 pages) are required — documents that were created and reviewed as part of the internship process at boTec.
