As a GIS/AutoCAD Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will work with your team on the analysis, processing, and visualisation of spatial data and contribute to modern software solutions that help our customers understand complex relationships.

You will implement practical applications that combine computer science and geoinformation, from processing aerial images and route calculation to georeferencing data. This involves working with common exchange formats (e.g. DWG, DGN) and developing interfaces between GIS and CAD systems to ensure seamless data interoperability.

Your Tasks

  • Design, develop, and maintain geo applications in CAD and QGIS environments.
  • Automate workflows with scripts, tools, or custom interfaces to improve efficiency
  • Lead development initiatives for geospatial data integration, transformation, and visualisation across systems.
  • Analyse and visualise spatial data within GIS and CAD environments.
  • Perform georeferencing of diverse data sets and analyse and process aerial images.
  • Handle and process common geospatial and CAD exchange formats (e.g. GeoJSON, DWG, DGN) and ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Communicate and present results clearly in team and customer meetings.

Your Requirements

  • Degree or relevant qualification in geo-informatics, environmental engineering or computer science.
  • Strong proficiency in Typescript and Python for modern web application development.
  • Experience in geo software development with GIS-Systems and libraries using geospatial data (e.g. GeoJSON, DWG) and transformations.
  • Good knowledge of CAD environments like AutoCAD and AutoLISP for interfacing, scripting and automation.
  • Basic knowledge of databases, ideally PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, with good German and English language skills (minimum C1 level)
