1. Scope
This statement applies to the publicly accessible website botec.com, including its subpages and the documents and media it provides.
2. Conformity status (self-assessment)
Based on our own technical analysis, we consider the website to substantially meet the relevant requirements for digital accessibility. Individual deviations may occur depending on content, device or assistive technology.
3. Legal and normative basis
Our internal review follows the requirements for digital accessibility that are customary in the EU and in Germany, in particular EN 301 549 in conjunction with WCAG 2.1/2.2 (level AA). Where applicable, we also take into account the German provisions on web accessibility (including BGG/BITV for public bodies) and the requirements for certain products and services under the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). Which rules apply in a given case depends on the offering and the context of use.
4. Assessment method
The self-assessment is based on a technical sample review of typical page templates, navigation paths and forms. It combined manual checks (including keyboard operation, focus handling, alternative texts, structure and semantics) with automated testing tools as a supporting measure.
5. Compatibility and technical requirements
The website is designed for current versions of common browsers and for use with assistive technologies. It is intended to work with enlarged text or zoom and on different screen sizes. Depending on the combination of device, browser add-ons and individual settings, the experience may vary.
6. Possible limitations
Despite careful implementation, barriers may occur in individual cases, for example with embedded third-party content, older PDF documents or dynamic components. We review reported cases on an ongoing basis and work on pragmatic solutions or alternatives.
7. Feedback and contact
If you notice barriers or need information in an accessible format, please contact us:
- Contact form
- Postal address: boTec GmbH, Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring 98, 65185 Wiesbaden, Germany
We aim to review and answer feedback promptly.
8. Enforcement and complaints
Where supervisory or conciliation procedures exist for your concern (for example under the BFSG, or under BGG/BITV for public bodies), you may, where applicable, turn to the competent authorities. We recommend contacting us directly first so that we can find a solution together.
9. Continuous improvement
We continuously improve the accessibility of our website. Regular re-testing, editorial quality assurance (for example alternative texts and heading structure) and training for the teams involved are planned.
