Since 2020, we have been a member of the German Informatics Society (GI), the largest professional society for computer science in the German-speaking world. The GI has represented the interests of computer scientists in science, business, administration and politics since 1969.
As a non-profit association, the GI not only promotes professional exchange, but also emphasizes social responsibility in the IT sector. Through their work, members contribute to improving local and global living conditions and further develop IT systems so that they can be used in a socially acceptable and sustainable manner. Through our involvement in this network, we benefit from the exchange on current topics such as climate change, energy requirements and mobility. The GI also supports schools and universities to get young people interested in IT at an early age.
With around 20,000 members from a wide range of areas such as research, teaching, business, administration, industry, teachers and students, the GI is a valuable network for the exchange of knowledge and experience. This partnership strengthens our position as a driving force in the field of responsible technological innovation.
